Famous album by the top greek composer Thanos Mikroutsikos, with music written on the poetry of the seaman Nikos Kavadias. The songs are interpreted by the talented Yiannis Koutras, the popular rock singer Vassilis Papakonstantinou and the young Emilia Sarri. Mikroutsikos' music is superb and his piano playing incomparable. "The cross of the South" (O stavros tou notou) is one of the most beautiful and powerful greek albums of the 20th century. Enjoy.
